A down scaled WellingTAN christmas

This past weekend we had our annual WellingTAN Christmas party, but this year things were down a little differently. Instead of the weeks and weeks of preparations for all the past and present staff, our favorite clients, and close friends of Dave's to arrive, weeks of practicing songs and sound checks so Kellie, Christina and I can sing, and hours of picking out an outfit ( Okay that stayed the same) we kept things a little more simple. No clients, no outside friends, and payroll staff members only with the exception of Rachael and Christina. It was Karaokee instead of the 3 of us hogging the mic all night and we all brough a dish to eat. And i must say it was a much more relaxed and laid back setting.

These two got up and sang a duet ...it is beyond me with neither one of them has been discovered yet.
And then Dave made our night by getting up and gracing us with a little tune.It was a good change up from the normal hype that the Wellingtan party is each year. We actually got to talk..and gossip...and just be our crazy selves. But then again how can you not have an amazing night with your best friends. Look to my right and i see the HOLLYWOOD sign

So i'm a little late in posting this ...but i figure better late then never. So over the Thanksgiving holiday break, my mom , my brother and i took a trip to Los Angeles California. Before this trip we were L.A virgins, so to say we were a little excited was an understatment.

This is the LAX sign...but being that the taxi driver drive like they are in a high speed chase i couldnt get a clear shot.
Sunset blvd was hoppin'...
On our first day of venturing out and about we had to be total tourists. The first place we hit was Beverly Hills and went to the infamous Rodeo Drive. It would have been even better if i actually could have afforded something on that strip but being that im on a wellingtan salory i just had to window shop.
We then took our touristness to the place that i most most excited to see... Hollywood Blvd! It was exactly as i had pictured and much more. Of course with my brother being the way he is we werent there 5 mins before he found a corner to break out his guitar.
We then walked the stars and spent some time outside the Kodak Theater where the star put their hand prints into the floor.
We even found Edward and he was quite the cutie ;)
Come Monday we finally set out for the whole reason behind our little adventure to LA. We spent the day in Burbank looking at the school that i'm dying to attend. Thankfully i fell inlove. Not only with the school but with the whole town of Burbank it was absoultly beautiful.
Not only was the school and the strip its on gorgeous but the apartment complex where the students live while attending school was to die for. Im talking amazing swimming pools, hot tubes, fire pits with outside couchs , 24 hour gym, grill area, not to mention a breath taking view of the mountians.
One of out last outings while we were there was to Venice beach. Like everything else in LA is was beautiful but i just couldnt get over the fact that there was the beach and then the huge mountians in the background. Being from flat florida the mountians became my obsession for the week. We got to Venice just in time to see the sunset.
All in all i had a fabulous trip. I couldnt have asked for a better time. I fell in love with LA to the point where i was homesick for it once i returned home. It has been a dream of mine to live there for as long as i can remember so i just hope all my plans fall into place so i can start my new adventure in La La Land come March, 2010. Always Dream Big.
